Brian Biggs serves as Chief Risk Officer of Centauri Insurance. Biggs leads the company’s Actuarial and Risk Management group which is responsible for ratemaking, reserving, catastrophe modeling, and reinsurance. As head of the Product group, he oversees Centauri’s product development and regulatory filing activity. He also contributes to the development of corporate strategy and enterprise risk management.

Prior to joining Centauri Insurance, Biggs spent seven years with Erie Insurance, a multi-line super-regional carrier based in Erie, Pennsylvania. During his tenure at Erie, he led their commercial lines predictive analytics group and oversaw their dynamic financial analysis group where he was responsible for capital modeling and reporting, reinsurance analytics, and capital allocation. Prior to his time at Erie, Biggs worked at regional and national carriers where he contributed to pricing, reserving and capital modeling.

Biggs holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, and philosophy from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
