Job Description:

The Product Manager is a crucial role within the Product Department. This key function will assist us in developing our strategies moving forward. The Product Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining products that are marketable and meet the needs of our agents/insured and are profitable and allow for continued growth.

Your Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Develops products, including rate manuals, underwriting manuals and forms.
  • Reviews, evaluates, enhances, and refines existing products.
  • Researches and assesses how Centauri compares to competitors and to the overall market and provides information to Senior Staff.
  • Leads product reviews, implements revisions to products which includes preparing filings, preparing state required supporting documents and providing guidance to systems.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and maximizes efficiency in Product procedures while effectively utilizing available resources.
  • Shares product expertise with members of the Centauri team, as well as with partners, agents and others as needed.
  • Manage projects including planning, business requirements, timeliness and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of 5 years’ experience and /or training in product management. CPCU designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management in homeowner’s personal lines, preferably in coastal states.
  • Ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of trends in personal lines property products and rates.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must. Ability to use custom and applicable software preferred.
