Job Description:

The IT Manager is a crucial role within Team Centauri. This key function will assist us in developing our strategies moving forward.

Your Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Manage and service help desk tickets, including hardware and software deployment and configuration to PCs and maintenance; including maintaining and repairing all equipment and peripheral devices.
  • Deliver IT services to internal and external customers - includes Centauri onsite and remote staff as well as service providers.
  • Proactively monitor infrastructure systems to assure optimal system performance.
  • Manage the review of user access to Centauri systems and data.
  • Participate in Business Continuity Plan enhancement & procedures; responsible for data security.
  • Execute investigations, reporting, and follow-up of system, network and data security incidents.
  • Maintain a high level of end-user satisfaction by resolving issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Support the execution of Centauri’s IT plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science or similar field required.
  • Experience - Minimum (5) years of experience in supporting Users, Desktops, MS Active Directory, and LAN/WAN networks.
  • Licenses/Designations - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, functional working knowledge on Windows 10, Windows 2012/2016/2019 Operating Systems, MS Office/Outlook, O365, Dell Desktop/Laptops, iPads and iPhones required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manages IT Department with one staff member. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues related to software, hardware, networking and peripherals.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and manage multiple projects and objectives simultaneously.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands are classified as Medium.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is required to stand; walk safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaced; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must have the ability to handle stressful deadlines.
  • Must have sufficient vision to navigate required computer programs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
