Job Description:

The Agency Licensing and Relations Specialist is a crucial operational support role. This key function drives agent licensing compliance and aids in the development of our long-term relationship strategies.

Your Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Onboard new agencies for personal lines, flood and commercial lines.
  • Process book of business transfers and appointment terminations as requested.
  • Add individual new producers in Centauri’s policy administration system and sending welcome letters via email to these new users.
  • Works with product, system and sales teams to prepare and execute corporate bulletins to notify agencies about upcoming changes to rates, coverage enhancement and underwriting guidelines.
  • Works with the product and sales department to make updates to the underwriting and rating manuals and quick reference guides.
  • Assist producers with password resets for Centauri’s policy administration system.
  • Maintain each agency’s contact information: address, phone number, e-mail address, banking information, etc.
  • Set up agencies for policy and commission downloads through IVANS.
  • Maintain and track current E & O certificates for all agencies.
  • Maintain territory and quarterly competitive intel maps for regional sales managers.
  • Appoint and terminate producers and agencies with each state’s respective department of insurance or through Vertafore.
  • Track and renew all agent and agency appointments through the NIPR.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - College degree preferred, relevant experience required.
  • Experience - Customer service experience required, current insurance carrier relations or retail insurance agency experience preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Current insurance carrier relations or retail insurance agency experience preferred.
  • Effective listening, oral and written communication skills necessary for customer presentations.
  • Must be comfortable speaking/presenting in front of others.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: must be comfortable working in an ever-changing environment.
  • Dependability and excellent time management skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to use Constant Contact, Social Media, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and custom project management and applicable software preferred.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands are classified as Light.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
